World Bank MD Axel van Trotsenberg arrived in Dhaka on a three-day visit

The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: World Bank Managing Director(MD) Axel van Trotsenberg has arrived in Dhaka on a three-day visit. He arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday (January 21) at noon. This is Van Trotsenberg’s first official visit to Bangladesh.
He is scheduled to be accompanied by World Bank Vice President for South Asia Region Martin Riser. It is reported that the World Bank MD will attend a function to be organized in Dhaka on January 22 to mark 50 years of relations between Bangladesh and the World Bank Group. Apart from this, Axel van Trotsenberg will meet with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, senior government officials, civil society representatives and Development Partners.
