Online Desk: Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted rains in eight divisions of the country in 24 hours commencing 9am on Monday.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Dhaka and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions with hails at isolated places,” said a Met office bulletin.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Meanwhile, a mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions and it may abate from most places.
Country’s highest temperature was recorded in Chuadanga at 40.3 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
On the other hand, the lowest temperature was recorded in Sylhet at 19.7 degrees Celsius on Monday.
