Online Desk: Mushfiqur Rahim starred with the fastest century by a Bangladesh batter as he helped the Tigers record their highest-ever ODI total of 349 for six in the second ODI of the three-match series against Ireland at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday.
Mushfiqur, who reached his hundred in 60 balls, smashed 14 fours and two sixes for his unbeaten 100, and put together a 128–run stand with Hridoy after Najmul Hossain Shanto brought up his third ODI fifty.
Previously, Shakib Al Hasan held the record when he notched up his century in 63 balls against Zimbabwe in 2009. This is Bangladesh’s highest-ever ODI total.
