Quader, also the road, transport and bridges minister, said the game will begin soon against arson attacks, vote rigging, corruption and Hawa Bhaban. “The Awami League will have to survive to save Bangladesh,” he said.
About the party’s President Sheikh Hasina, he said, she has been the most popular, courageous, and efficient administrator and diplomat in the last 47 years. Hasina is the troubleshooter and there is no alternative to her, he said. Earlier in the morning, Hasina inaugurated the 22nd national council of the Awami League. She opened the council by hoisting the national flag and releasing pigeons and balloons at 10:30am at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan.
