Online Desk : The Election Commission (EC) has held a coordination meeting on Saturday on law and order activities with the armed forces and 16 security agencies, ahead of the upcoming referendum and the national parliamentary election scheduled for 12 February. The meeting took place from 9am to 10am at the Election Commission Secretariat in Agargaon, Dhaka. Election Commissioner Brig Gen (retd) Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah presided over the meeting in presence of the EC secretary.
Representatives from the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces, Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh, Director General of Coast Guard, Inspector General of Police, Director General of Ansar and VDP, Director General of National Security and Intelligence Directorate, Director General of Directorate General of Forces Intelligence, Director General of National Telecommunication Monitoring Center and Director General of Rapid Action Battalion, along with representatives of relevant agencies attended the meeting.
