Rain likely to decrease across the country in 72 hrs: Met office

Online Desk: Rain may abate across the country in 24 hours commencing 9 am on Sunday, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department(BMD).
The Met office also predicted light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty at most places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, at many places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across northern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay, it said.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay. Day temperature may rise by (1-2)°C and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
