RMG units to stay shut from Sunday if unrest continues : BGMEA

Online Desk : The owners of the readymade garment (RMG) factories have threatened to keep their factories closed for an indefinite period from Sunday if the workers’ unrest continues.
Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) said in a press statement after a meeting with advisers of the interim government, owners and union leaders held at its office in Dhaka on Saturday. The shutdown will be under a “no work no pay” policy, said the statement.
Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) also supported the BGMEA decision.
