The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: A school teacher was killed in a road accident at Gangni upazila in Meherpur district. The accident took place on Monday around 8:30 at Malsadah of the upazila. Deceased Shamima Islam, 55,  was a teacher at Karamdi Secondary School of the upazila.

Police said Shamima Islam was going to Gangni town for training riding on a motorcycle with her husband Feroz Ahmed. On the way, a truck from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle near Malsadah Bridge. Shamima Islam died on the spot. On information, members of Bamandi Fire Service recovered the body from the spot. Gangni Police Station sub-inspector Ratul confirmed the matter.
