Online Desk  :   Two men were killed in a reported shootout with joint forces in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, in the early hours of Thursday. Five individuals were arrested, and arms were recovered. The identities of the deceased could not be immediately determined. According to the police, acting on information about identified terrorists in the Bosila 400 feet area, they conducted a raid. Upon noticing the presence of the joint forces, the terrorists fled into a house. Despite being asked to surrender, they opened fire on the security forces. In self-defense, law enforcement returned fire. Later, five individuals were detained from inside the house, arms were seized, and two bodies were recovered.

AKM Mehedi Hasan, Assistant Police Commissioner of Mohammadpur Zone, stated that the five individuals were detained from various locations. Upon reaching the roof of the house, law enforcement found the bodies of two individuals, both bleeding. One was holding a firearm, while the other had a machete in his hand.
