Online Desk : BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has alleged that an attempt is being made to create a smokescreen regarding the election. He said, “The local elections before the national election are a process to rehabilitate the fascism of the autocrat Sheikh Hasina. However, BNP cannot, and will not, fall into this trap.” He made these remarks while virtually addressing the party’s extended meeting at the LD Hall of the National Parliament Complex after 10 am today (February 27). Tarique Rahman also called on the nation to remain vigilant against ongoing conspiracies directed against the country.
He said, “Misleading statements from certain advisers are confusing freedom-loving people. Meanwhile, killings and violence continue across the country, and the government has failed to establish control over law and order. Additionally, they have been unable to rein in the uncontrollable rise in commodity prices.”
