Drug-trader with 7.5-kg heroin held in Rajshahi

Online Desk: Police arrested an alleged top-listed drug-trader with 7.5 kilograms of heroin from a village in Rajshahi district early Monday. The arrestee was Ziarul Islam, 35, son of late Abdul Latif of Godagari upazila in the district.
Superintendent of Police ABM Masud Hossain said acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid in Ziarul’s house and recovered 7.5 kilograms of heroin, 18 bottles of phensedyl, Tk 24.5 lakh in cash and 258 grams of gold ornaments.
They, later, arrested the drug trader in this connection, he said. During interrogation, the arrestee confessed his involvement in drug trafficking and trading for long times.
