Postal ballots pose privacy challenges for expatriate voters : EC Sanaullah

Online Desk : Election eommissioner (EC) Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah said that there is a privacy challenge for expatriate voters in postal ballots. He shared this information at an online exchange meeting with the Bangladesh High Commission in London and expatriate Bangladeshis there at the Election Building on Wednesday.
EC Sanaullah said, “The Postal Vote BD app for expatriate voters will be launched in the third week of November. Postal ballots pose privacy challenges for expatriate voters. Therefore, the Election Commissioner has called for creating awareness so that the privacy of votes is not violated.”
He said, “The voting rate in postal ballots is low in various countries. Therefore, those concerned should pay attention to the matter.” Sanaullah also said that if the candidacy of a candidate for a seat is cancelled by the court at the last moments before the election, all expatriate votes for that seat will be cancelled.
