As this festival is said to be universal, in fact it is not only universal, but also an integral part of our culture. He visited the puja mandap along with other leaders and exchanged greetings with the people of the Hindu community. At that time, the leaders of the puja celebration committee greeted him with flowers. He said, “Within the internal borders of Bangladesh, everyone is equal citizen according to the Constitution, regardless of race, religion, caste, culture and history. Therefore, there is no such thing as a minority. If the Constitution gives you equal rights, then the concept of minority is contradictory. This cannot be. We all have to keep this in mind.”

Regarding the party’s policy, he mentioned, “BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said, ‘Religion belongs to individuals, state belongs to all.’ This is not a political statement, but rather it is said from the party’s policy and constitutional rights. Similarly, ‘Religion belongs to individuals, security belongs to all’ is also not a political statement, but rather it is said from the ethics.”

In response to a question from journalists, regarding the worship facilities of sanatan religions in the hills, he said, “No matter what situation we are in, we do not have the right to take away anyone’s civil rights. The constitution has given equal rights to everyone; no one is more or less. This should be kept in mind in running the country and in daily life as well.” Earlier, he visited the Muradpur Temple at Gate No. 2 of Shulak Bahr Ward, the Lalkhan Bazar Highway Intersection Puja Mandap and the Loksed Gate Puja Mandap next to the Ward No. 13 Hospital.
