Sources said that the three of them boarded a speedboat from the airport to Maheshkhali from the BIWTA port in Nuniarachhara in Cox’s Bazar town. After reaching Maheshkhali, they visited Hope Hospital. At that time, the Bangladesh Country director of Hope Foundation welcomed him. Later, he inquired about the overall situation of Hope Hospital. He joined the tree plantation program jointly produced by Accelerator LNG Terminal and Hope. Officials of the Hope Foundation were present at the time.

Former US Ambassador Peter Haas visited Maheshkhali as a strategic advisor to US-based liquefied natural gas company ‘Accelerate Energy’. He will return to Dhaka from Cox’s Bazar Airport on another flight at 6:10 pm.
