Jamaat invites PM to iftar

Online Desk : Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has invited Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to attend its upcoming iftar mahfil. Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar and Assistant Secretary Maulana Abdul Halim met the Prime Minister at his office in the Secretariat in Dhaka on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Jamaat leaders formally invited the Prime Minister to the party’s iftar mahfil scheduled for February 28. At the time, the Prime Minister also spoke with the party’s Ameer and inquired about his health, as he is reportedly sick. After meeting the prime minister, Mia Golam Parwar told reporters that an iftar programme has been scheduled for 5:00 pm on February 28 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center.
He said the prime minister had cordially accepted the invitation.
