NIMD delegation meets BNP on election issues

Online Desk : A delegation from the Netherlands-based Institute for Multi-Party Democracy (NIMD) met with leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Thursday to discuss the country’s overall political landscape and issues related to the upcoming national election. The hour-long meeting took place around 4 PM at BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan, according to BNP media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan.
The BNP delegation was led by Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and included Joint Secretary General (International Affairs) Humayun Kabir and Organising Secretary Shama Obaed. The NIMD team consisted of Programme and Knowledge Advisor Taiwu Nenge, Head of Positioning Helin Schroen and Senior Project Manager of AHEAD Bangladesh, Mohammad Sahil.
Sayrul Kabir Khan said the discussion primarily focused on the forthcoming parliamentary elections and the state of democracy in Bangladesh.
