PM expresses shock at death of Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury

Online Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Gonoshasthya Kendra founder and freedom fighter Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury.
In a message of condolence, Sheikh Hasina said his contribution to the Liberation War, pharmaceutical industry and public health sector will be remembered.
The prime minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members. Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury passed away last night at the age of 81.
Professor Brigadier (Retd) Mamun Mostafi, who was leading a medical board formed for Zafrullah’s treatment, confirmed that Dr Zafrullah breathed his last at 11:00pm.
