‘Comfortable with the economy, though many challenges’

Online Desk : Financial Advisor Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed has said that though they have many challenges, but are comfortable with the economy. “Of course, we have many challenges, I admit that. But we are comfortable with the economy, we confident,” Salehuddin replied when reporters asked about economical comfort at the Secretariaton Tuesday.
”I would not go into the theoretical side. Poverty has increased, poverty actually exists – I would have to make a lot of statements to describe these. I know how they measure poverty. There is a base, there are clients.” The adviser was asked about the government’s plan to buy 20 fighter aircraft for the Bangladesh Air Force at an estimated cost of $2.2 billion. In response, Salehuddin Ahmed said, “I will not make any comment on this matter.”
