Tk 2.5cr seized from ex-DGFI chief Saiful’s house

Online Desk : The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has recovered Tk 2.45 crore from the residence of former director general of Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) Saiful Alam. The money was recovered from his Cantonment residence during a raid from 11PM on Thursday (February 27) to 3AM on Friday. The agency’s Director General Md Akhtar Hossain confirmed this to media on Sunday (March 2) while responding to a query by the media personnel during a press briefing.
“An investigation is underway against Saiful Alam. Getting a secret information, we conducted a raid at his house and recovered Tk 2.45 crore from there.Md Saiful Alam was arrested on January 13, 2025. Earlier in September, the bank accounts of Saiful Alam and his family were frozen and he was sent on forced retirement in the same month.
