Operation Devil Hunt : UP member among 3 arrested in Mongla

Online Desk : Members of Coast Guard arrested three people including a UP member in Mongla of Khulna during the ongoing Operation Devil Hunt early Thursday. The arrested were Hashem Fakir, 48, UP member, Md Sultan, 65, and Gautam Mandal, 35. On Thursday (February 13) afternoon, Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq, Media Officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, confirmed this information and said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued instructions to conduct Operation “Devil Hunt” by the joint forces in order to maintain the current situation across the country. In continuation of this, on Thursday at 1 am, based on secret information, a joint operation was conducted in the Kanainagar area of Chandpai Union under Mongla Police Station by the Bangladesh Coast Guard West Zone BCG Base Mongla and the Bangladesh Navy.
It is learned that all those arrested in the operation are leaders and activists of Awami League and Jubo League and there are multiple cases against them.
